Delivery placement policy

Our drivers will do their best to place your container as close to your desired location as possible, depending on site conditions. Delivery is performed by a tilt-bed truck that requires adequate space and firm ground. If the driver encounters soft ground, tight access, overhead obstructions, steep grades, or other obstacles that could risk damage to the truck, property, or container, the driver will place the container in the nearest safe and accessible location. Container Companies is not responsible for placement beyond what the driver can safely access. By accepting delivery, you acknowledge that final placement depends on site conditions at the time of delivery.

To help ensure smooth delivery:

  • Provide at least 60 feet of straight clearance and 12 feet of overhead clearance
  • Ensure the ground is firm and level (concrete, compacted gravel, or dry hard ground)
  • Remove any vehicles, debris, or obstacles from the delivery path
  • Be present or have someone on-site to direct the driver
  • Soft, muddy, or uneven ground may prevent the driver from reaching your desired placement location

If you are unsure whether your site is accessible, call us at (504) 495-3096 and we can help you assess before scheduling delivery.

Permit note

Most areas do not require permits for temporary storage containers. For permanent placement, check local zoning rules.

What if my driveway is too narrow?

Send us photos and measurements. We can recommend alternatives, staging options, or another placement point.

What if the ground isn't level?

We can place on slightly uneven surfaces, but we recommend leveling blocks for long-term alignment and door operation.

Can you place on gravel, dirt, or concrete?

Yes. Gravel and concrete are ideal. Dirt can work if it is compact and drains well.
